of Des Moines is actively developing industrial land in Des
Moines. At the present time, focus is centered on Central
Place Industrial Park, Guthrie Avenue Business Park, and the
Des Moines Agribusiness Park.
Central
Place:
Over $12,000,000 in private investment has been made in the
Central Place Industrial Park since 1986. This investment
has included 25 new buildings and expansion and renovations
projects. Over 1,200 new jobs have also been created in the
135-acre industrial park in the last decade. The City and
the Central Place Industrial Park Association work closely
together on immediate and long-range needs for this area.
